How We Do It
Three words: Pencil, Paper & Play
It looks like magic, but there’s no real secret to it. Seeing things differently begins with pencil, paper, and play. Because that’s where discovery comes from. As well as understanding, empathy, and acceptance.
It’s science as much as it is art. Playing with issues as shapes on paper helps our brains to let go of what we think they ought to be, in order to see what it actually is.
This is especially important with adaptive challenges, which require a nimble mindset that won’t be hijacked by stress.
Seeing things from a different perspective can feel alien to people. That’s why something as down-to-earth as a cartoon is such a useful vehicle for learning.
It feels easy, even as what it does for our brains—and can do for our business—is out of this world.
